Fortuity is developed and operated by Serendipity Foundry LLC.
Fortuity is designed to work locally on your device.
We have intentionally built the app to collect as little information as possible.
Fortuity does not require you to create an account. The app does not collect or transmit personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, calendar, browsing activity, health information, or advertising identifiers. Fortuity does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in its current version.
Fortuity stores a limited amount of information locally on your device so the app can function. This may include your selected Signal delivery window, notification-related preferences, your current Signal, locally generated future Signal selections and delivery times, and limited scheduling information used to prevent unwanted repetition and maintain reliable daily delivery. This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to Serendipity Foundry.
Fortuity uses local notifications to deliver your daily Signal. If you grant notification permission, the app schedules notifications directly on your device. Fortuity does not use a remote notification service to deliver Signals. You can change or disable notification permissions at any time through your device settings.
Signals are selected locally from a curated library included with the app. Fortuity does not use your personal information, location, behavior, contacts, microphone, photos, browsing activity, or other private data to select Signals. The app does not attempt to determine the meaning or relevance of a Signal to you.
Fortuity is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple may collect information in connection with your App Store account, device, purchase, download, or use of the App Store according to Apple’s own privacy policy. Fortuity does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or account services in its current version.
Fortuity does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app is designed not to collect personal information, there is no account or profile to create.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the revised policy on this page.
